The College Concept
Our fun and interactive perfumer consultations are a useful additional skill for aspiring beauty and therapy students to have on their portfolio. Open to all level of students, The Perfume Studio 3 hour course gives an overview of perfume history, how fragrances are constructed and the essential oils that are used in The Perfume Studio's unique blends.
Course Overview
The day begins with background on bespoke fragrance and the construction of fragrances. To keep the course interactive and fun, students will be given the opportunity to smell some raw ingredients that go into some well-known fragrances available on the high street.
Learners will then be given two high street fragrances and in groups asked to identify some of the ingredients that go into these fragrances. This gives them an appreciation and awareness of the raw materials and blends that go into the world's most popular perfumes and colognes.
A detailed demonstration of The Perfume Studio consultation will then follow, with key ingreddients covered. Students will be taught the importance of Top, Middle and Base notes within fragrance as they learn about The Perfume Studio's blends. After the demonstration students will practice by doing their own consultations on one another - each ending up with their very own unique fragrance.
Blending of the fragrance is then demonstrated and explained. Each learner will blend their own fragrance and take it away with them at the end of the session.
Students will also be given the opportunity to buy a specially priced Perfume Studio Starter Kit on the day.
