Team Building

Teambuilding with a Difference
The Perfume Studio’s popular corporate event is also available as a fun, interactive and skills based building team day. Like so many of our offerings, the teambuilding day can be constructed to meet your exact requirements.
Our teambuilding can be tailored to a full-day or half-day event and are built around the key skills needed to succeed in business today while being fun to take part in. Teams go head to head putting a variety of skills to the test as they create their signature fragrance and brand to capture the market.
Whichever teambuilding event you choose, each participant goes home with a fragrance which they make as a team, or if the individual prefers a fragrance of their choice which they have created during the day.
Half Day Target Market
Each team is given an overview of the target ‘customer’ for a fragrance that matches the target market by carefully choosing ingredients with a range of different emotion evocations and ‘personality traits’. A perfume expert will run the day and guide the groups through the 18 blends in a fun and informative session.
Having learnt about each blend, the team then works to create the fragrance that will capture the attention of their target customer. They must also choose a name for their signature fragrance and choose from a range of packaging.
Creating the product itself is a both fun and interactive and each participant will get a 20ml bottle of their ‘company’s’ creation to take home (or alternatively a fragrance they make for themselves) and a certificate of authenticity bearing the chosen name. As they create we challenge each group’s teamwork, delegation skills, use of resources, all while working to a deadline in accurately interpreting a brief.
Having decided on the packaging for their product, the scent that goes into the bottle, each group presents back to the ‘client’ and the other groups.
Apprentice Style
The Perfume Studio brings you an event similar to the task that shot to prominence in the 2008 final of The Apprentice on BBC1. This task incorporates selling the produce that they create to the general public or colleagues, thus testing their sales skills! The full day event is designed to be fun and interactive while encompassing as many business skills as possible.
Participants are split into teams with a brief to create and name a fragrance, choose their brand packaging and manufacture their product all within a set timescale. Each group has a fictional budget to work from. They can choose to include the budget busting sandalwood, but this may be at expense of the diamantes on their bottle. Alternatively, they can go for the less expensive ingredients…will this harm sales, though?
Having creating their fragrance and conjured up a name, it is time to manufacture. A brief session with our perfume expert demonstrates how this is done and then the teams are on their own! More time manufacturing means less time selling, so time management and delegation is key! When the product is ready it is time for the teams to get to the pre-organised venue to launch the fragrance and sell as much as they can! Sir Alan loves sales!
If you prefer, delegates can present their product back to ‘the client’ and the other teams, rather than sell.
